About Me / Kristin Danielle

I returned to New York from Florida with literally $80 in my pocket. Thankfully, my gracious parents allowed me to return home even though I had vowed that I could make it on my own in the real world. Unemployed and close to broke in Florida where design jobs are not abundant, I was forced with some life changing decisions.

Shortly after being home, I found myself in a newer 1990 LX 5.0 Sport Mustang, working with a new Apple Macintosh G3, finding a new job, and then meeting a new special person.

When I first met Kristin, she lived in Saint James, and I was in Lynbrook. I never even heard of Saint James, but quickly became fascinated with the quaint Suffolk County community. It's the type of area where if you were born in Saint James, you lived there your entire life. It's really a middle America/New England type of town on Long Island. It's general store is the oldest operating one in the country and almost everyone knows your name in the town.

Kris and I hit it off after a little bit of a slow start and quickly became serious. We got married at Saints Phillip and James RC Church, in October of 2001 after several years of dating. It was only a month earlier, I was in midtown Manhattan at work watching two towers collapse, and wondering whether I would make it out of the city alive. It was that October Sunday that I never felt more alive in my entire life, than when I said "I do". I remember questioning the costs involved with getting married, yet in the end, it was worth every penny and more.

All in all, Kristin has been my biggest supporter and my best friend. She is a hard working teacher that I would have loved to have as a teacher. She is caring and compassionate, and is an incredible mother to our little princess, Lauren Shea Prete.

Without her, I probably wouldn't be as successful as I am or have a tenth of what I do.
