Blennerville Windmill - Blennerville, County Kerry, Ireland

My family and I just got back from 9 days in Florida, where I attended an excellent Wild Florida boat workshop. Find out why their boat trip should be on your todo list.

As the sunrise peeks through the trees, a new dawn is breaking. The silence of the night is slowly overcome by an eagle off in the distance. The flap of the wings mimics a flag rustling in the wind. Powerful and energetic it flies on its journey in search of a feast. From high above, it swoops down to the water, stretching its talons, clenching a victim.

As nature and wildlife photographers, we have a responsibility to these creatures for their well being, ensuring we don't encroach upon their territory or disturb their daily peace. The moment we are spotted, and our subject is frightened, it's safety is also compromised, resulting in a situation that can be dangerous for both parties involved.
